Located in the heart of Vail Village, Solaris, its plaza and the Shops at Solaris is jam-packed with dining and entertainment options. With so many of our guests choosing to spend so much time at the Shops at Solaris and within our wonderful restaurants and entertainment options found in the plaza, we asked ourselves what a summer weekend in the life of a Solaris guest could be like; and this is the answer:
You have just arrived to sunny Vail on Friday afternoon. The air is so warm, but still breezy and the smell of pines fills the air. As you check into your stunning Solaris Vail residence, and between the unbeatable amenities including full kitchens and fireplaces, along with killer views and top-notch finishes, you wonder if you will ever leave the room, but alas, the grumbling within your stomach begins to summon you elsewhere. After a quick phone call to your personal assistant at the front desk, you have secured a reservation for you and your party at Matsuhisa, a Chef Nobu Matsuhisa restaurant, and one of only five world-wide. While dining, you enjoy a wonderful blend of Japanese and South American flavors, indulge in some of the Miso Cod and Tiradito, and enjoy a Japanese Lemondrop or Peruvian Margarita.
After dinner, you walk across the Solaris Plaza into the modern dining and entertainment experience that is böl. While the full service dining room, full bar featuring a wide selection of wines and custom cocktail list are enough to draw a crowd; the ten-lane bowling alley is where the real fun begins. As the night continues you bowl a few rounds, enjoy a few more drinks and dance to the sounds of one of bol’s regular DJs.
Saturday morning has now rolled around, and you wake in desperate need of a caffeine fix. While Solaris Vail residences offer a coffee maker, the sweet smell of Yeti’s Grind, located just below the hotel in the Shops at Solaris, is just too sweet to pass up. Yeti’s proudly serves City on a Hill coffee, a local roaster, and also feature delicious treats such as freshly baked cinnamon rolls, hearty breakfast burritos and a selection of vegan and gluten free options. You sit down and enjoy a soy latte along with an egg, cheese and green chili breakfast burrito.
After the caffeine kicks in, you spend the morning on the Solaris Plaza lawn enjoying the daily, free outdoor yoga class followed by an afternoon of getting lost on the Vail hiking trails. When do finally return home, the high-energy day begins to wear on you, and nothing sounds better than a nice dinner and a movie. You and your party think about holing up in your beautiful room, but soon discover CinéBistro, the most lavish in-theatre dining experience in Vail. After selecting your movie and reserving your seats, you make the less than five-minute walk back to the Shops at Solaris, and into CineBistro’s bar for a pre-show cocktail. After heading into the theatre, which features plush, comfortable lounge chairs, you select a plethora of dishes to share from the kitchens American Bistro menu, sit back, and enjoy a dinner and a movie.
